Hi Kurt, Jani, David, and Matty-
<(I left the following message under an earlier date's post. Just noticed that it wasn't under today's date, so I copied my message and put it in comments for today.)>
Message: I just spoke with Donna Milord about your condition, Kurt. Donna belongs to our church, and we have become good friends in the last year. Your family may remember that I was David's advisor and English teacher when he was in seventh grade at Gurrie. I so enjoyed David's writing ability, his ease with learning, his insight into the human condition, and his sense of humor (and Jani, I didn't read your blog, but I'm sure I would have laughed. It's good to see the humor - in everything! Very healing!) I've followed David's progress in school, and I saw him act in "The Diary of Ann Frank." He was fabulous, as he always is. I wish I had seen him star in his latest play at LT. I am also sorry I didn't stay at Gurrie long enough to have Matty in my class. I understand she is a Freshman now.
Kurt, I'm am so sorry to hear that you are ill. I'm sure I speak for everyone who would like to help you find your way out of this unfortunate set of circumstances. I will follow your blog and send you healthy spirits as you work your way through this journey.
