10/13
a very long, unproductive day. a couple more tests and a visit to the dentist. i did finally speak with "the team" and they did tell me that i have flt-3 chromozone mutation. around 45% of all aml is flt-3. they said there is an over 90% remission rate. also told me i should be connected very soon. supposedly i won't be feeling blue until 8-10 days out. i'm glad it's post season baseball because i'll be falling asleep to the dodgers again.

Kurt,
Watching the Dodgers now, thinking & praying for you. 90% remission sure sounds like good odds!Even at 20lbs lighter, you'll forever be "Sturdy Kurt". I look forward to adding this chapter to the Kurt Bodell Survival Guide. Preceeding chapters have included car crashes, a skydiving accident, rolling a dunebuggy, falling out of Puppy's pick-up holding a bottle of tequilla, falling off motorcycles, and trying to outrun the law in the GS, among others. See you in Michigan to toast your amazing capacity for endurance!
let's add a few to the list of the toughest optimist I know, and Don, you need to add:
concussion from flips near dieter's house on the circle; big cut on the head from a slate/rock fight at dieter's house on the circle (while being built); running through the front storm door glass; yellow beater into tree at dieter's cottage; skateboard skiing down clyde; water ski jumping; the white camaro...more to come. Kurt, we all love you and look forward to more exciting moments with you!
